4 Herbs To Spice Your Valentine’s Day
Gift your love with something delicious that also has a lovely effect: Valentine’s day aphrodisiac herbs — gift idea!

Come Valentine’s day and we see ourselves on the most romantic day of the year, with the person we love and the perfect gift. Hopefully, next 14 of February — Valentine’s day — your evening will feel like this.
If you are looking for Valentine’s day gift for someone who loves herbs and experimenting with new sensations, then I believe that this article is for you. I bring a mix of 4 magnificent herbs that make an ordinary tea become a love elixir.
All of the following herbs can be found together or separately in the Zoomie Garden shop:
Damiana

I couldn’t start this list with a plant other than Turnera diffusa, also known as Damiana.
This is a plant native from Mexico that had a tremendous impact on the lives of the ancient indigenous people who lived there. Damiana was used by medicine men both as an aid during mystical experiences and as a tonic for sexual performance and enjoyment.
Turnera diffusa is nowadays commonly sold in the form of dried leaves and it can be prepared as a tea, smoked, and even vaporized.
As tobacco replacement, damiana overperforms in comparison with other herbs, but if you are looking for aphrodisiac effects it is more effective to brew a tea with the damiana leaves.
What To Expect:
The Damiana tea, much like other popular aphrodisiac herbs, improves blood circulation, giving the user a characteristic full-body warm feeling, like a little fuzzy comfortable sensation that invites snuggling, cuddling, and intimacies ❤️
The mental state is unusually clear, which also makes it perfect for social environments and the sexual part of it only surfaces if the participant wants it to. Meaning that it is not a ‘make-me-horny’ kinda plant, but more of a sexual enhancer when the opportunity comes.
Turnera diffusa is also appropriate for non-sexual activities!

Blue Lotus
The Blue Lotus was the choice of preference of the Egyptian people who used to prepare wine with the lovely addition of the flowers of the Lotus. The Blue Water Lilly flower was used both medicinally and for recreation. The effects of the drink alcoholic drink produced with this flower are said to create mind-expanding experiences.
The flower contains two main alkaloids;
From the Healthline website:
- Apomorphine. A psychoactive compound that acts as a dopamine agonist, meaning it can instill a happy and euphoric feeling. It may also help with muscle control in those with conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and erectile dysfunction.
- Nuciferine. A compound thought to act as an antipsychotic drug that induces feelings of calmness through mechanisms that aren’t yet fully understood. It has also been shown to improve symptoms of erectile dysfunction.
In modern days, this herb is popular as a tobacco replacement, but it is more usual as a dream enhancer prepared in a tea before bed, perfect for lucid dreaming!
The Blue lotus is present in the Aphrodisiac Herbal Blend available here:

For your valentine's day, the Blue Lotus can trigger a soothing experience of connection with the other. The following excerpt is from an experience posted in the Erowid Experience Vault, a reliable source of anecdotal experimentation:
From Spiritual, Aphrodisiac, and Therapeutic
by Sadira
I thought I’d test out the aphrodisiac component of Egyptian Blue Lotus effects with my boyfriend. We steeped tea bags filled with the crushed dried petals in glasses of red wine (probably a decent Shiraz or Merlot) for about an hour and sipped them. Throughout the night we kept sipping the wine and lotus, and proceeded to have the most amazing night of sex ever (ever? Ok, well, it was awesome for both of us.)
Rooibos

Rooibos took over the world as a super healthy alternative to black tea. In contrast with traditional tea, the Rooibos contains no caffeine and fits perfectly in any part of the day.
We like to add Rooibos to our mixes because it adds body and taste to the drink and also, this herb is rich in antioxidants, which contributes to a balanced lifestyle!
Kanna

Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) is an African herb that had a tremendous impact on the people of the region in which it grows. In ancient times, the most popular way of consuming Kanna was to chew on it or smoke it throughout the day, to make like more bearable in the arid landscapes of ancient Africa.
Nowadays, Kanna is a great addition to an aphrodisiac tea because it is a mental — and physical — relaxant. Sceletium is also an effective natural antidepressant. It can also be used at the beginning of the day to give that extra energy you need to keep the momentum going!
The mechanism of action of Sceletium is similar to the most popular pharmaceutical antidepressants, so consult a medical professional before combining the two.
Sweet Dreams

As I mentioned before, herbal aphrodisiac is not going to force you to be in the mood for sex, but it definitely opens the way for you to get there. Both Damiana and the Blue Lotus have been used to enhance sexual performance and enjoyment since ancient times, and now it is time that we rediscover these herbal allies and implement them into our modern lifestyle.
If you are not looking for the aphrodisiac effects, both of the herbs mentioned in this article are also super popular as dream-exploration aid. The Damiana contributes to vivid and deep dreams while the Blue Lotus helps you get to the deep state of sleep when dreams are more prominent.
To end this article I would like to share the following excerpt which describes the dreamscape that follows the Damiana experience:
The Sensuous Curve of Awakened Dreams
by mayakaya
During the first dream I soon became distinctly lucid […] For a few moments I floated entranced, marveling at the detail and intricacy of the dreamscape.
The dream content then swept me up again, and although I was still aware that I was dreaming, I did not seem to have much control over events.
Thanks so much for reading and for all the support we get from you all, it is thanks to you that the psychedelic research stays alive and well!
Have a wonderful journey.
